Lifelong Learning

Libraries offer something for everyone in any stage of life.
We create connections, provide programs, share services, and increase access to information.

A Thirst for the Written Word

Lifelong Learning I Quality of Life

You can find answers at the library.

How have libraries made a difference in your life?

Well, if we didn’t have libraries, I don’t know where I would be.  Early on in life, libraries provided entertainment.  You might not have money for the movies, but you could read a book for free.

Why were you interested in volunteering to serve on the library board?

The Mayor of Guyton asked if I would serve.  He knew I had experience with Friends of the Library from another library system.

Libraries are important because...

Libraries are important because they contain knowledge.  They give you a thirst for the written word – and a lot more, especially today.  When you are curious about something, you can find answers at the library.  Libraries are important because they can help interpret historical events, current events, and future predictions.

A library card is the best card you can have in your wallet!
