Accessible Resources

Through the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (GLS) and cooperating libraries, Georgians have access to a free national library program that lends books and magazines in audio format or Braille.

Visit the GLS website or call 1-800-248-6701 for more information.

Assistive Technology

All libraries have accessible computer keyboards with large print and high-contrast colors. Several libraries have video magnifiers. Southwest Chatham Library has a voice reader / text-to-speech converter and portable magnifying devices.

Homebound Services

Patrons who are not able visit the library due to illness, disability, or related issues may request homebound services.  Access to all types of library materials is available and items requested are delivered for free by library staff to individuals at their place of residence.
