Winter Reading Challenge

Winter Reading Challenge (WRC) is January 1-31 at Live Oak Public Libraries. WRC encourages kids to build skills and get excited about reading. The challenge invites ages 0-18 to read at least 5 hours during the month of January. Progress is tracked online and participants earn virtual badges for each hour of reading. #WinterRead2019

Winter Reading Challenge 2019 Guidelines

Goal: 5 hours of reading (300 minutes)

1. Register online at the link above. If you registered for Summer Reading Program 2018, just sign-in.
   Contact your library if you forget your login details.
2. Read and log your minutes. Earn virtual badges as you track your progress.
3. When you complete 5 hours of reading (300 minutes), visit your library to pick up a prize.
   You will also be automatically entered into the Grand Prize Drawing.

Winter Reading Challenge uses the Beanstack platform. Hundreds of libraries and schools across the nation will encourage their communities to read a target number of minutes and books. If we reach the collective goal, "Shark Tank" investor Mark Cuban will donate $35,000 to top participating libraries to expand access to the resources we offer within the community.
